Most of us have participated in or at least watched someone doing the “trust” exercise.  Someone will stand on a chair and then fall backwards fully trusting that his or her friends will catch them.  I have never been the guy who falls backward.  I’ve watched and caught others.  It seems to me that before cell phones, odds were better that the catchers would have not been distracted, but now, I’m not so sure.  I can easily imagine texts incoming to the catchers just as the guy was falling and…I hope the guy knows a good chiropractor.

Unlike us, God never takes His eye off those who trust Him.  He doesn’t need others to give Him new info on anything.  He knows what is going on. He never gets distracted.  He can be trusted to lead, guide and direct us as we travel on the road of life.  He will catch us when we fall, He will listen when we talk to Him, He cares.  Though we make plans, only He can actually see the future.  He has a plan, a purpose for each of us and we can choose to trust Him with our lives by following the direction He lays out in His Word or we can go our own way and take our chances.  Proverbs 3:4-5 “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

I have more to say, but I see I have a text…
