Our Mission

The church is not a building. The church is the people who have given their lives to Christ, sharing the gospel with others who don’t yet know Him.  That said since we don’t like to worship outside in the cold windy rain, Fathers House is a place where people gather together in a building to worship The Father, Son and Spirit and receive practical, helpful Biblical teaching.

The book of Acts records a great move of God in the early New Testament church where salvations, healings and powerful signs were commonplace. Therefore, we chose to explain our purpose using the acronym ACTS.

A is for an Atmosphere of expectancy. We believe that, without God, we are nothing and therefore we desperately need Him! Therefore, praise and worship are major parts of our services.

C is for Catching people. The world and the people in it are broken, fallen, and caught in sin. We want to see all who come through our doors to be caught by the love of God.

T is for Transformation. People are transformed by truth. We preach the word of God. We are emboldened and filled with the Holy Spirit. As we get transformed by the truth of God’s word and his Spirit, we are then able to begin to help others in their transformation to grow in Christ, bearing good fruit.

S is for Serving and Sending. We are His workmanship, created for good works in Christ, and our heart is to see people released into their calling serving of Jesus by loving people both in and out of the local church, in Longview- Kelso, the United States and overseas.

Statement of Faith

We hold to the truth from the Nicene Creed and believe:
- that the Bible is God’s revealed and inerrant Word to mankind
- that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross alone.
- that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today and available for every believer.
- in the traditional biblical definition of man, woman, and marriage.
